Old World Charm in San Miguel
This adorable duo set out to prove that a wedding for two could be every bit as stylish as a full-blown gala. It exuded romance and love and featured a special kind of beauty which still makes us smile every time we look at the images. Cool, leafy gardens, stone arches and traditional carved doors enveloped the lantern-lit courtyard, set the stage for the intimate ceremony. After the ceremony - following in true Mexican "tradition" - the couple took to the cobblestone streets of this charming town with their tequila donkey in tow. Mariachi music filled the air and the Reposado flowed as locals joined the couple in the "callejonada" (a traditional wedding stroll) leading to the town's main square. Festivities continued when the "mojigangas" (larger than life, papier mâchè dolls) joined in the walk back to the hacienda. The evening was topped off by a romantic, candlelit dinner in the hacienda's tequila cellar where the happy couple was serenaded by a private trio.
